Otto graduated from the University of Botswana with the Degree of Bachelor of Laws in
2006 and was a University of Botswana Law Department Book Prize winner in the years
2002/2003. During his undergraduate studies Otto represented Botswana at various
International Moot Court Competitions amongst others the Phillip Jessup International Law Moot Competition held and organised in Washington, DC, United States of America, The
14th All Africa Human Rights Moot and Conference held and organised at the University of
Johannesburg in South Africa. Otto is the founding Partner of this firm. He has worked for
Makuyana Legal Practice in Gaborone from October 2004 as a legal researcher/assistant
until October 2006 when he was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of Botswana
and practised as such with the same firm until May 2008. Otto underwent a Commercial
Law Program training under the auspices of the Law Society of Botswana and the
International Senior Lawyers Project.
Mr Dipatane graduated with the Degree of Bachelot of Laws from North West University in
South Africa in November 2006 and was admitted to practice in the High Court and other
Courts of Botswana in the year 2007. He underwent postgraduate studies at the University
of Pretoria, LLM in International Trade and Busines Investment. Mr Dipatane spent most of
his professional life at the Botswana Defence Force as a Senior Legal Counsel and held the
military rank of Major. He is a self-starter and have a great ability to research, engage and
advise on intricate legal matters. In particular, drafted and negotiated, concluded and
enforced commercial agreements in areas of works, supplies and services with proficient
and renowned local and international entities involved in diverse business operations
Katso graduated from the University of Botswana with a Bachelor of Laws Degree and
immediately joined the firm. She pursued a course in Enterprise Risk Management with the
Botswana Accountancy College. She has been with the firm as an intern prior to that. Katso
has established hereself as a litigation attorney in Lanboard disputes on behalf of and
against land Boards. She has dealt with litigation on behalf of Kgatleng Land Board. Apart
from disputes relating to land matters Katso has immensely contributed to the debt
collection unit of the firm, heavily involved in the First National Bank of Botswana
Collections, Motor Vehicle Accident Fund, CA Sales and Distribution and Tlhomeso Timbers
collections.
Kago graduated with his Bachelor of Laws Degree(LLB) from the University of Botswana in 2014. He obtained his Master of Laws Degree (LLM) from the University of Pretoria which gives him a broad dynamic to the practice of law and litigation generally. He has enormous experience in the handling of general civil litigation and specialised claims and property law. He specialises in civil litigation, criminal law, securitised collection, delict, insurance and commercial law.
Florence Caston graduated with her Bachelor of Laws Degree(LLB) from the University of Botswana in 2014. Florence has Trial Advocacy Training through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with the University of Botswana which gives her a broad dynamic to the practice of law and commercial law generally. She has a passion for Corporate and Commercial Law, her specialities being Contract Law, the Law of Delict, Insurance and Commercial law.
Thabang is a member of our team who has graduated with a Degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Certificate of Proficiency in Compliance Management from the University of Cape Town. Sejoe’s experience thus far, as a Pupil and a Legal Intern, is in most areas of law practice ranging from Employment Law, Labour Law, debt recovery and commercial law and with his current pursuit to gain experience in Compliance and Corporate Governance.
Boipelo graduated from the University of Botswana with an Second Division Upper Class Degree of Bachelor of Laws in the year 2021. Her main practice area has been Commercial law and Corporate law. She is an astute Company Law practice professional. She continues to make strides and expand her knowledge in the area of Commercial litigation as well.
Sarona joined the firm as a Practice Manager, she graduated with the Degree of Bachelor
of Finance from the University of Botswana. She is curently pursueing Financial Modelling
and Valuation.
Her responsibilities cover a wide spectrum of areas; Finance and accounts, HR and recruitment, Marketing and business development, Operations and administration and facilities management
law.
